Barbara Wiernik learned jazz vocals with David Linx and Norma Winstone and Indian vocals with R.A. Ramamani.

She teaches jazz singing and vocal techniques and also polyphonic world music styles. She has given trainings and master classes at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, at the summer academy in Libramont as well as at the conservatory in Essen (Germany). After a long association with pianist Jozef Dumoulin she recorded the album “Eclipse” (Mogno, 2001).

She takes part in numerous concerts all over Belgium and abroad with her own projects and with other ensembles (modern and traditional jazz, world music, pop, folk, theatrical projects). She plays with Marco Locurcio, Pierre Van Dormael, Nathalie Loriers, Manu Hermia, Amit Heri, Jozef Dumoulin, Peter Hertmans, Alex Furnelle, Michel Seba, Michel Hatzigeorgiou, Hugo Read, Pirly Zurstrassen, Bart Defoort, Jeroen Van Herzeele...
