Mi Amado - Solange Labbé & Ensemble
Hé
Belgian mezzo-soprano Solange Labbé has set to music texts derived from Christianity's heritage of sacred literature, in a spirit of meditation. In this she is guided by the practice of hymns found in all spiritual traditions, an influence which she combines with that of Western minimalist music.

Compositions from the mezzo-sopran Solange Labbé on sacred and mystical texts from the european tradition, interpreted by the vocal ensemble Hé. Hé is the result of the meeting of women and men from very different horizons, who wanted to unite their voices for the sake of music, meditation, praise and creativity.
In hebrew, "hé" is the symbol of the blow of life. Hé favors work above time and space through the permanence of sound, the harmonic resonances in accordance with the construction and acoustic of the place and the people who receive them. This music is intended to provide above all spirituality. The symbolic and phonetic value of the elements of the language are highlighted. |
