Le Chant des Sirènes - Alexandre Furnelle Quartet

A dreamlike space, created by Alexandre Furnelle (double bass, vocals, other instruments), where our most distant dreams join with the present. Where memories of his childhood in the Congo and the heritage of European music come together with the liberated energy of jazz.

His compositions with a strong feeling of dream are played with first-class musicians : Peter Hertmans (guitar), Daniel Stokart (saxophones, flutes, other instruments), Jan de Haas (drums, percussions). They express their creativity and energy in a harmonically and rythmically wide open music.
The huge freedom of the roles allowed the band to develop his own acoustic universe close to what we call the contemporary European jazz.
