VICTOR DA COSTA TRIO
The idea of associating the lyricism of the Brazilian music with
the concept of improvisation is the driving force behind this trio’s
performance. As to Victor da Costa’s music, not only is it
inspired by the rhythms of his homeland, Brazil, but also by many
aspects of modern jazz.
There is no denying that this record is an interesting mixed bag
of sounds and rhythms. Furthermore, the improvisation and the musicians’
personal touch do certainly enrich this already fine and extensive
repertoire.
