Weber Iago / Marc-Henri Cykiert - "2 for peace"

This cd is a musical journey for solo piano.
It was born out of the meeting of two people who happened to speak a so-called ‘universal’ language, actually always different from one place to another – music - , and have together approached the simplest, yet hardest subject of all, Peace.
Two very personal compositions, approximately thirty minutes each, written with open mind to the world, on a same musical motif, interpreted by pianist Weber IAGO :
SHALOM-SALAAM by composer Marc-Henri CYKIERT and O CORACÃO DA TERRA by Weber IAGO.
This music follows a path through different states of mind and musical styles, going through various inspirations : classical, contemporary, jazz, Indian, meditative, South-American, sometimes reaching abstraction, with moments of improvisation and reflection on the meaning of Peace : internal peace, peace with oneself, but also peace with the other, with the world in which we live in this 21st century.
