Cheiro de Choro

Since its creation by Henri Greindl in 1990, Cheiro de Choro played at numerous festivals in Belgium and North of France (festivals VIVA BRASIL, BELGA JAZZ, AUDI JAZZ, Brussels Jazz Rallye, Brussels Jazz Marathon...), selecting some jewels by composers like Tom Jobim, Egberto Gismonti, Hermeto Pascoal and presenting a range of Brazilian styles with a jazz touch (Samba, frevo, marcha rancho, partido alto, chorinho, maracatu, xote, baião...). The first cd, “Chorinho para Tina” (mogno j001 / loco 9115), was more oriented toward the choro style. The second cd, “Sol” (mogno j007) uses a more jazzy approach.
An energetic and frankly jazzy quartet, based on a ten years old complicity, playing with an evident pleasure, speaking the jazz language with a Brazilian accent!
