The O’tchalaï trio travels the Balkans, on the roads between Bucharest and Odessa, through the streets of Thessalonica, to the top of a steep Georgian mountain, pausing a moment at Cabaret Pouchkine – or at a place near you – before casting off again…
With “Couleur Lune”, their second LP, O’Tchalai continue to explore the world of Balkan music, shaping it their own way, creating atmospheres that alternatively evoke vast snowy ranges or small, cramped pubs: the wind is blowing , there are smiles and tears, love and heartbreak and reunion... in a word: life!
Des voix graves, douces ou éraillées qui s’entremêlent, la générosité de l’accordéon, le violon qui fait chavirer l’âme, la chaleur de la contrebasse, tout est là pour un voyage éphémère et rêvé à travers les Balkans.
Avec ce deuxième Album « Couleur Lune », O’Tchalai continue à explorer l’univers de la musique balkanique pour la façonner à sa manière, en créant des atmosphères de grands espaces enneigés ou de petits bistrots confinés, le vent y souffle, et on rit, on pleure, on aime, on se déchire et se retrouve, la vie donc !
