After studying classical piano and percussion at the Luxembourg Conservatory, Jérôme was drawn towards the freedom of improvisation and jazz. He devoted himself to drums, vibraphone and piano. Jérôme studied at the Brussels Royal Conservatory then obtained a Masters at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels.

Jérôme has been a member of the European Masterclass Bigband, conducted by the great German arranger Peter Herbolzheimer. As a result, Jérôme has played with musicians such as Benny Golson, Herb Geller & John Ruocco.
