Martin Chemin began the djembe at the age of 6. He soon started out to discover a wide range of rhythmic and music experiences like Capoeira, Samba - Reggae, conductor. He performed on various stages in Belgium, on television and recorded his first song for the CD "Le Cordon Musical " and he teaches music. He played in numerous band the most notable of which was Sakka Conga, formed in 1998. After a six-month trip to Mali in 2001 to complete his practice of the djembe, he worked on many projects with bands like Fusao Bloco and Bloco Zinneke. He attended courses given by Malian dancer Brahima Coulibaly .

During his studies in Latin Languages ??and Literature from 2002 to 2007, he met the members of the actual bands KermesZ à l'est and Muziek de Singe. In 2006 , Martin joined the band Bolo Kan and in 2007 Djine , a Franco-Belgian-Malian project. The same year, played with singer Minata Traore. From 2007 to 2010, he continued his training with Ibrahima Sarr, travelling back and forth between Bamako and Brussels. In 2010 he joined the band Babelouze directed by Michel Massot. 2010 is the year of the project initiated by Pierre Chemin and materialized firstly by an album and secondly by a show with the same name, “Le Jouet Musical” .

At present he is the percussionist of KermesZ à l'est, Muziek de Singe and Le jouet Musical.
